King by Adikus is an innovative strategy game that engages players in complex decision-making and resource management, providing a unique gaming experience.
King is a renowned trick-taking card game that has gained popularity across various countries. It bears resemblance to the Barbu (Tafferan) game and follows the traditional rules of play. The game is played by four players, each utilizing a standard 52-card pack. The cards are ranked in descending order, starting with Ace and continuing through King, Queen, Jack, to the number 2, in each of the four suits.
During the course of a game session, players partake in both trump and negative contracts. A total of 20 hands are played as players engage in two trump contracts and three negative contracts.
Trump contracts are seen as positive contracts wherein taking tricks in these games contribute to scoring positive points.
On the flip side, there exist six negative contracts that players can choose from, namely: No Tricks, No Hearts, No Boys, No Girls, No King of Hearts, and No Last Two. In these negative contract scenarios, penalty points are accumulated based on cards/tricks taken.
The user experience while playing King is enhanced by its simplistic interface and visually appealing game view.
